There’s a genuinely useful answer, though: it depends less on which is “better” and more on how much time you have and what trip you actually want. Hunza vs Skardu: accessibility<\/h2>\n

Overall, Hunza wins clearly here. It sits along the paved Karakoram Highway<\/a>, three to four hours from Gilgit, with smoother roads throughout. This makes it the easier choice for families, elderly travelers, or anyone with limited time.<\/p>\n

By contrast, Skardu takes more effort. You can fly directly from Islamabad in about an hour, which is fast, but weather-dependent. The road route runs considerably longer.
