Pakistan in April: Blossom, Baisakhi, Weather and Where to Go

Pakistan in April: weather by region, Hunza blossom, Baisakhi, what is open or closed, packing tips and sample routes for the month.

In This Guide14 sections

April is the month when northern Pakistan opens up. Blossom moves up the Hunza valley, the weather in Gilgit-Baltistan turns mild, and the trekking and travel season begins to stir. Down on the plains, the heat is already building, and the Sikh festival of Baisakhi draws pilgrims to Punjab.

This guide explains what April is like in each region, what is open and what is still closed, which events fall in the month and how to plan. Last checked: October 2026. Bloom timing, snow and road conditions change from year to year, so confirm locally before you travel.

Quick Answer: Where to Go in Pakistan in April

April suits Hunza, Skardu, Astore and Swat, where the weather is mild and the valleys are in bloom or turning green. Lahore and Karachi are already hot, so keep city sightseeing to mornings and evenings. Babusar Top, Deosai and the high meadows are still closed or snowbound, so leave them for late May and summer.
